Synopsis

'Made in Heaven and other marriages' is a collection of twenty-one stories traversing marriages and would fall in the category of light fiction.

India has many faces - superstitious, orthodox; rebellious, spirited; heart-tugging-sad, uproariously funny; real and reel; compassionate, wicked… and the same is true for Indian marriages. We have arranged, love, love-arranged or vice-versa, convenience, business, open, closed and more types of marriages. Most of which, to the West’s everlasting wonder, survive. The single point purpose of this book is to write about the colorful kaleidoscope that an Indian marriage is. The length of the stories is another of its USP, as I feel, the stories between 600-4000 words, should hold the attention of the FaceBook/Twitter generation!

Happy Reading!

Well-written short stories, all three. I liked The Performance the best. There is something engrossing about the narrative and the style of writing which makes the reading experience pleasant.

Good stories with an interesting narrative. I liked 'The performance" , the best, followed by Made in heaven and the thief , in that order .Indian women can very well connect themselves to these stories.Enjoyable read!

The thing that really got me depressed was the fact that these are short stories and not a full length novel. Character and situations are well explained, so much so that I feel that you can take the plunge and write a full pledged novel piecing together all these characters and introducing newer ones.
All the best and hope to see something more from you!
