End to Start

Priya Sidharth Sethi

Being born and brought up in Pune, it was walk down the memory lane. I suppose the first few pages are an inspiration from Pu. La. Deshpande's 'Punekar Mumbakar Nagpurkar' (Correct me if I am wrong)
Enjoyed the read. The storyline is interesting. Some editing will work wonders.
A small suggestion - don't think in you mother-tongue while you write. It works for me...the sentence formation especially, the dialogues will improve.

Bend Your Knees & Do Your Best

I liked the concept. Found the manuscript dragging at few instances. I was searching for the catch but could not find one. Still would like to know what is in store for 'Kalyani'.

Thank you very much, Priya. Yes, the manuscript does drag and there are a couple of reasons for that (I think!) – a) the first few chapters are dedicated to introducing the character and they take up more than a hundred e-pages. I have a feeling this will work out better as p-pages :). b) The story is somewhat long winded because I have taken the ‘slow release’ approach, and the catch (yes, there is one!) comes later, much later. But I am hoping that the humour will keep the reader’s interest through it all. If I fail in that, then I guess I haven’t done a very good job!

The Blind Chase

The plot looks interesting. Found the language confusing. Liked the keen attention to the descriptions. Agreed, there is a mystery element, but the 'He' is being used for a long time. Would like to know what happens next.

The subject looks interesting, however there is more 'telling' than 'showing'. Would have loved to read the journey of Krish instead of jumps from his marriage to separation to suicide. Though I am looking forward to read forward.

Could not find a catch in the story. Was dragging with a repetitive narrative. Would be better if the author comes to the point directly. Also lacks descriptions.

The Legend of Devyani

Priya Sidharth Sethi

I was engrossed while reading the manuscript. Found some dialogues confusing so had to read them again...all in all creative, engaging and imaginative!
