In my experiences away from home I have always realised that what makes me home-sick the most is the food. Especially in foreign countries, after a week, all I crave is "waran-bhaath" ("dal-chawal"). An easy read and a subject close to most people's hearts: warm home-made food! And I agree whole-heartedly with the authors: for a scientist cooking is just another fun-filled experiment. Wish you all the best with the book!
