Interesting! I like the way the story of Devavrata has been presented as a flashback from Bheeshma's point of view. I can see from the blurb that there will be more stories from many other perspectives. If intricately woven, this book could be turned into a bestseller for sure. All the best Geetha Krishnan. Looking forward to reading more.
Thank you ma'am. :)
Hi Vanita, nice to meet you here. Do check out my book "An Autograph For Anjali". It would be great if you can post your honest feedback on the same :D
Yes will do :)
Thank you Debraj. Could you please review and rate my book on the website? :)
The story started off gripping, making me want to read more. But after a few pages, the convoluted explanations began to drag. The premise is good and the author can definitely spin a story. With the right editor, the story has good scope.
Where's the fiction?
It reads like a rant. A suggestion to the writer: Please read a lot of fiction, especially popular ones to get a hang of how a story may be presented. I am not saying that the popular ones should be followed verbatim; but it will give a clue as to what the reader is looking for.
Thanks! It would be great if you can post a brief feedback and star rating. IF the book gets great feedback, it may be picked by BGB for publishing as ebook. The process takes about 2-3 months for selection. After that, maybe Westland for paperback... :D
I recommend Thunderclap
I recommend Cruise To Life
I recommend East or West, India is the Best
The language is good and I like the way the author has woven timelines back and forth. The telling of the tale could be woven tighter. Interesting plot! Can definitely be worked on to make a good book. All the best!
I recommend Karma isn't such a bitch!
I recommend The Legend of Devyani
Thanks Sundari, will check it out. :)
I got pulled into the story. It's beautifully structured. It should make for a wonderful book once polished by an editor. Looking forward to reading the whole book as soon as it gets published. Congratulations to the author!
Thanks a lot Mrs Sundari Venkatraman, for your time and your review....Means a lot to me.... :)
I was intrigued by the synopsis. This book sounds quite different from usual. I was curious to read more. But I wish the author had "shown" the scenes unfold instead of narrating everything. It's like listening to someone tell a story instead of it all happening out there. Needs a lot of re-working.
Thanks for sparing time to read and giving feedback!
It's nothing new; the usual story of young love. The author can improve her writing skills with a lot of practice and then will have a better manuscript is all I can say.
Deepa Iyyer has a very good story to tell. Her writing style is fluid with touches of humour. I can visualise the scene as I read.
What I would like to see more is the scenes unfolding in description and dialogue rather than narration. That would add more value to this work. The book is worth publishing under the guidance of a good editor
